Apple’s rumored new full-size HomePod is expected to launch next year, equal to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who suggested older this year that Apple was working on an upgraded version of the speaker to replace the original model that was discontinued last year.

In the latest edition of Gurman’s weekly Power On newsletter, the reporter says “next year should be pretty jam-packed for Apple”, with the iPhone maker possibly announcing a new HomePod/Apple TV duo device, that would full-length a FaceTime camera to create an wits similar to the Facebook Portal by Meta.

Details on what to expect from Apple’s new full-size HomePod weren’t shared, with respected industry reviewer Ming-Chi Kuo saying in May that he believed a new HomePod was in development, with code from Apple’s first iOS 16 developer beta unearthing references to an unreleased model named “AudioAccessory6,” which seemingly confirmed the existence of a new version of the Siri smart speaker.

Following Kuo’s report in spring, Gurman later corroborated the report, saying that the new speaker will be a similar size to the original 6.8-inch tall model introduced in 2018, reportedly featuring an updated exhibit on the top that could offer multi-touch functionality, later saying World was considering an updated version of the HomePod mini which is unlikely to offer anything “super-impressive.”
