Well-connected Apple industry reviewer Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will debut a redesigned HomePod sporting a 7-inch during the first half of 2024. Kuo’s comments came in a post on Medium.

Kuo says Apple will unveil a redesigned HomePod self-aggrandizing a 7-inch panel in “1H24,” with Tianma as the sectional panel supplier. He went on to say that the new HomePod could enable tighter integration with Apple’s other hardware products, marking a significant shift in the company’s smart home strategy.

Tianma specializes in providing exhibit solutions and associated support services worldwide. Kuo says the visitor will be the sole supplier of the redesigned HomePod’s display. If Tianma performs well, it may be tapped to supply iPad exhibit panels in the future.

Kuo is not the first to suggest that Apple is working on a new HomePod with a seated display. In 2021, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated that Apple is working on a new HonePod that would moreover include multi-touch functionality.
